Learn how to register for classes in Workday

Registration will happen in Workday beginning in the Fall 2024 semester registration period. Summer session registration should be completed in WebOPUS.   

This process can be complicated. Get help from an advisor at any time!

Check for holds

Account holds DO NOT prevent you from registering for classes during "Registration Weeks," but you must take care of them to make later changes.

Create a plan—but be flexible

You can create a saved schedule in Workday on your own or with help from an advisor so your anticipated classes are saved and ready for registration. However, keep in mind that the classes you need could be full.

Find out when you register

Your registration window date range is called a "Registration Appointment" in Workday. Registration appointments are your eligible registration date windows for upcoming semester terms, and will appear in your Academics app in Workday under the "Upcoming Registration Appointments" table.

Summer 2024 Registration Schedule:

  • Continuing students: February 19, 2024 - April 22, 2024
  • New students: April 8, 2024 - April 22, 2024

Register for courses

WebOpus: Log in to WebOPUS, select the "My Student Profile" menu, select "Registration," and choose "Register or Drop Classes".

  • The best way to register is from a plan you create ahead of time:
    • Select the term you are registering for
    • Select the "Plans" tab
    • Click on "Add All" or just "Add" for individual courses Select "Submit" to register
  • You can also search by subject area and select "Add" to add courses to your pending schedule.
